Be better than yesterday. Get used to being uncomfortable. Exceed you own expectations.
Weighed in at 173.8 today, going to pass on legs/back today and hope the knee heals.
Sounds like IT band syndrome if you haven't been diagnosed already. Same thing dropped me out of the marathon last year. Stretching helps me tremendously. Good luck on a speedy recovery and great race!
